At the event, the Ministry of Interior will present the new permanent Civil Registration System software, which was developed jointly by the Albanian and Austrian Interior Ministries. The new system uses the existing Albanian civil status data, which were computerized during the period November 2007-July 2008.
At the same event, a civil registry public awareness campaign will be launched. The campaign aims to inform citizens on the parameters and benefits of the new system, as well as on their responsibilities in keeping the civil registration system up-to-date and accurate.
