OSCE Presence welcomes Albanian President's decision to return property law to Parliament

TIRANA, 5 July 2004 - The OSCE Presence in Albania welcomes the decision of the country's President, reached after careful consultation and consideration, to return to the Albanian Assembly Law No. 9235 on the Restitution and Compensation of Property.
Returning the law to the Assembly should allow for the re-establishment of the consensus that had previously existed on the bill and represents an opportunity for the Assembly to improve the law on those issues about which the Presence has already expressed itself.
The OSCE Presence in Albania stands ready to give its continued contribution and expertise for this work.
